South Korea's producer prices increased for the first time in six months in December, data published by Bank of Korea showed on Tuesday.
Producer prices rose 0.7 percent year-on-year in December, after a 0.1 percent fall in November.
The latest annual growth was driven by a 3.0 percent rise in electric power, gas, water prices. Prices for agricultural food products, and services gained 2.1 percent and 1.3 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile, prices for manufacturing products fell 0.2 percent.
On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.3 percent in December, after a 0.1 percent fall in the prior month.
