European Economics Preview: UK Public Sector Finance Data Due

Public sector finance data from the UK is due on Tuesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, the Office for National Statistics releases UK public sector finance data. The budget deficit is forecast to narrow to GBP 34.3 billion in June from GBP 54.5 billion in May.

In the meantime, June foreign trade data is due from Switzerland. The trade surplus totaled CHF 2.8 billion in May.

At 4.00 am ET, Poland's retail sales data is due. Economists forecast retail sales to fall 4 percent on year in June, slower than the 8.6 percent decrease in May.

In the meantime, Greece current account data is due.

At 8.00 am ET, Hungary's central bank is set to announce its interest rate decision. The bank is expected to cut its key rate to 0.60 percent from 0.75 percent.
