Australia will on Wednesday release Q2 numbers for gross domestic product, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
GDP is expected to tumble 6.0 percent on quarter and 5.3 percent on year after easing 0.3 percent on quarter and climbing 1.4 percent on year in the three months prior.
South Korea will provide August figures for consumer prices, with forecasts suggesting an increase of 0.2 percent on month and 0.4 percent on year. That follows the flat monthly reading and the 0.3 percent increase in July.
The Philippines will see July data for producer prices; in June, producer prices were down 3.9 percent on year.
