Following the release of German wholesale prices for August at 2:00 am ET Friday, the euro dropped slightly against its major counterparts.
The euro was trading at 119.67 against the yen, 1.0955 against the franc, 0.8961 against the pound and 1.1069 against the greenback around 2:02 am ET.
