Australia will on Wednesday see April results for the consumer confidence index from Westpac Bank, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. In March, the index fell 3.8 percent to a score of 91.9.
New Zealand will provide March numbers for food prices; in February, food prices were flat on a monthly basis and up 3.1 percent on year.
Indonesia will release March figures for import, exports and trade balance. In February, imports were worth $11.60 billion and exports were at $13.94 billion for a trade surplus of $2.34 billion.
Finally, the markets in Thailand remain closed for the Songkran Festival and will re-open on Thursday.
