At 2.00 am ET Friday, the Office for National Statistics has released UK retail sales data. The pound changed little against its major rivals after the data.
The pound was trading at 1.2971 against the greenback, 135.86 against the yen, 1.1779 against the franc and 0.9141 against the euro around 2:03 am ET.
